Young Members Trip

Friday, June 15, 2012

Location:  Minnesota Zoo

Open to all 4-H members and their families

Come join us on a fun filled adventure to the MN Zoo!!  Youth will have an opportunity to explore animal habitats, watch animal trainings, feedings, and demonstrations, and get hands on with animals. 

Cost:      4-H Youth = FREE

                Non 4-H Youth =                 $10.00 (3-12 years old)

                                                                $15.00 (13 years old and up)

                Certified Adult 4-H Volunteers = FREE

                Other Adults =      $15.00

                                                $10.00 (seniors 65+)

 Bus leaves Ladysmith at 7:00am and will return around 7:00pm

**Everyone needs to bring a bagged lunch

**Everyone needs to be registered and paid in full by June 1, 2012in order to attend

 

Cloverbud Camp

4-H Cloverbud camp is a co-educational program for youth (4-H and non 4-H) grades K – 2 as of January 1.  The day camp starts at 8:30am and goes until 3:30pm.  We will be holding two camps: June 22 in Ladysmith and June 29 in Sheldon.  Campers are placed in groups with two to four high school age counselors.  Campers experience a wide variety of activities.  Some encourage individual competition while others provide teamwork.  Activities focus on the environment along with arts & crafts, nutrition, music, drama, science, and recreational programs.  There are quiet times and noisy times.  There are many opportunities for new friendships as well as developing new skills and interests.

Camp Cost:

4-H Youth                             FREE

Non 4-H Youth                    $5.00 / child

4-H Camp

4-H Camp is a co-educational program for youth grades 3-8.  The camp session is two nights and three days long.  Campers stay in cabins with 8-18 other youth and one to three teen counselors.  Campers will experience wholesome meals, tons of activities, and an opportunity to make new friends.  Activities focus on the environment along with arts & crafts, nurtition, music, drama, science, and recreational programs.

Camp Cost:

4-H Youth                             $50.00 / child;    $45.00 / child for 2;     $40.00 / child for 3;    $35.00 / child for 4

Non 4-H Youth                    $60.00 / child

***Bring a friend and get a $10.00 discount.

Green & White Day

Saturday, June 23, 2012

11:00am – 2:00pm

Location:  Rusk County Fairgrounds

 4-H Clubs will be pre-selling tickets this year.  When you purchase a ticket you receive $1.00 off the meal price.  We are asking all

4-H families to help sell tickets.

½ Chicken Dinner = $8.00

¼ Chicken Dinner = $7.00

 Along with our Chicken Dinner we will also have a Bake Sale and Silent Auction!

 *This is our annual County Wide 4-H Fundraiser Event!* The Rusk County 4-H Leaders Council expects all Rusk County 4-H clubs and committees to help out.  We are asking everyone to donate a silent auction item and to help with cooking, serving, and cleaning at the event.

 

4-H / KAMO Canoe Trip

Team up with 4-H and KAMO and prepare for an awesome adventure down the Flambeau River on Friday, July 27.  Youth will have the opportunity to canoe, fish, swim and have fun.  This is a free adventure for 4-H members and meals will be provided.  The trip is limited to 24 youth ages 10 and up.   To register please contact the UWEX Office by June 8.
