Rusk County 4-H County Wide Committees

The Rusk County 4-H Program has six county wide committees.  Anyone is welcome to attend any of the countywide 4-H committee meetings throughout the year.  New members are always welcome.

Rusk County 4-H Leader’s Council – The Rusk County 4-H Leaders Council is the organization that represents all 4-H leaders in Rusk County.  Meetings are held each month and are held at the UWEX Office.  Decisions are made about policy and programs affecting 4-H members and leaders.  This group provides the financial support for the county wide 4-H program.

Rusk County 4-H Junior Leaders Organization – The organization is open to all 4-H members’ grades 8-13.  The group plans social and educational events for its members.  The meetings of this group are in addition to participation in a local club.  The group also raises funds at the Rusk County Fair to help support county activities and awards.  This group meets monthly.

Rusk County Project Committees – These committees include livestock, dairy, small animal, and horse.  Each committee has their own by-laws and plans educational learning opportunities for youth throughout the year.  The meetings of these groups are in addition to participation in a local club.
