Rusk County 4-H County Wide Committees
The Rusk County 4-H Program has six county wide committees. Anyone is welcome to attend any of the countywide 4-H committee meetings throughout the year. New members are always welcome.
Rusk County 4-H Leader’s Council – The Rusk County 4-H Leaders Council is the organization that represents all 4-H leaders in Rusk County. Meetings are held each month and are held at the UWEX Office. Decisions are made about policy and programs affecting 4-H members and leaders. This group provides the financial support for the county wide 4-H program.
Rusk County 4-H Junior Leaders Organization – The organization is open to all 4-H members’ grades 8-13. The group plans social and educational events for its members. The meetings of this group are in addition to participation in a local club. The group also raises funds at the Rusk County Fair to help support county activities and awards. This group meets monthly.
Rusk County Project Committees – These committees include livestock, dairy, small animal, and horse. Each committee has their own by-laws and plans educational learning opportunities for youth throughout the year. The meetings of these groups are in addition to participation in a local club.
